While the rest of Ireland was in the grips of the "Big Storm", Surfers from around the world gathered in Mullaghmore, Sligo in early January for the Big Surf!
(video from RTENewsNow)
Surfers from all over the world arrived in Sligo, Ireland on Monday 7th January to ride huge waves which could break new records. Sligo became a surfing destination for all enthusiasts that week more so than ever before, thanks to Winter Storm Hercules which busted through the Atlantic and over here the first weekend in January causing the wave swell. Instead of experiencing the brunt of the bad weather, we got the benefit – the surfing! The guys over at Offshore Watersports Mullaghmore, weren’t going to miss out either!
