Lights, Twinkle, Santa! Sligo Christmas Fayre returns THIS weekend to the heart of Sligo Town

The all-weather Sligo Christmas Fayre returns this weekend, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of December with double the amount of stalls and even more festive treats and gift ideas to explore.

Set amidst the background of the Garavogue River in the heart of Sligo Town, Stephen Street Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the Sligo Christmas Fayre with nearly sixty stalls showcasing local food producers, crafts, festive food, mince pies, mulled wine and plenty of gift inspiration for shoppers.

Families are in for a treat with a host of festive happenings taking place in ‘Santa Land’ including a puppetry show, Santa’s Theatre featuring the busy elves building gifts for all the good young boys and girls, a colouring station for everyone to finish their Santa letters, a face-painting station, as well as a goodie bag for each child to take home.
For older children, the festive ice-rink returns and will be open throughout the weekend. Farmyard in the School Yard also return with their special Petting Zoo as well as a Live Crib.

Live music will fill the heart of Sligo Town throughout the weekend with an entertainment stage packed with local musicians and performers. Saturday's line-up on includes The Sligo Concert Band Quartet, Beat it Dance Group, The Barber Shop Quartet, Kieran Quinn, Rackhouse Pilfer and Dean Gurrie. Sunday's entertainment featuring Rathcormack Sean Nos Dancers, Gavin Bros and Friends, and the County Sligo Male Voice Choir.

Santa's Parade
As well as visiting Santa’s Grotto, the Fayre welcomes the return of Santa’s Parade at 3.30pm on Saturday and Sunday afternoon as the man of the month makes his way through Sligo town, gathering all the children to join him at the Fayre in Stephen’s Street Carpark.
Entry to the Fayre is free. Tickets for Santa Land are €5 per child and tickets for the ice-skating rink are €3 per child and will be available on the day.
