Helen teaches empowerment in the nurse-client relationship to the BN International students.

Helen teaches  biological science and nursing practice modules to undergraduate nursing students and empowerment in the nurse-client relationship to the BN International students.
She completed her PhD at the University of Ulster and explored the use of wellness coaching in facilitating health behaviour change for people with Type 2 Diabetes.

Helen's research interests include empowerment in people with chronic illness and development of empowerment skills in nursing practice. Her current research also includes the Indian nurses’ experience of academic education in Ireland.
